Aloha, I’m Loryn

Moving to the Hawaiian islands in 2014 was one of the greatest gifts I ever gave myself. I was in pursuit of “more”, balance, and exploration of how I could show up everyday with intent, love & passion. This is where I discovered my love for photography, but more than that, it was the discovery of human connection, love and co creation that absolutely captivated me.

I was given the privilege of working with a photography company for 6 years as a Creative Director where I would mentor, practice and master my craft. This experience created an unshakable desire to start my own business. I wanted to create with my own vision, serve my own clients in a way that aligned with who I am, and do it refreshed and ready to create something beautiful. So here I am.

When we meet others with an open heart, it is always a simple reminder of how connected we all are & to live in the present moment. It is a privilege to do so, let’s make something beautiful.

This vision is one I have nurtured and cared for, because I believe my clients deserve the best I have to offer, & that is what I am here to do.

  • Working with Loryn was the least stressful part of our trip planning process!

    Within 2 weeks we needed to change flights, accommodations, and trip itinerary for our 10 year wedding anniversary trip. We also wanted some pictures to commemorate this wedding milestone! Loryn got back to us right away with her availability during our visit to the Big Island. She stayed in contact with us about location options, weather and timing. We adjusted our timing with her slightly to have the smallest chance of rain. She immediately made us feel at ease as soon as we met her. She gave great input for posing and made my husband feel very comfortable even though he doesn't love getting pictures done. She was the best "hype woman" for us both and it was so fun to work with her. There was a sprinkling of rain during our shoot and Loryn found a spot for us to take cover and stay dry. She went above on beyond on spending extra time taking pictures and giving us more edited photos back than we expected! She also gave great local recommendations for where to eat and drink. We were so happy with all the photos she took and how quickly she was able to get them back to us. If you are on the Big Island and looking for professional pictures, look no further than Loryn!

  • We were BLOWN away by the photos we got from Loryn!

    My husband and I were visiting the Big Island and we got our photos done by Kismet Photography, and we are SO happy we did!! They're some of the very best photos we've ever had taken of us! Loryn made us feel so comfortable and it was SO FUN!! My husband doesn't really like to have his photos taken, but he said afterwards how fun it was!! I was so thankful! Loryn captured us in so many beautiful candids that really show how we interact together naturally! Oh and her edits are so beautiful and our jaw dropped when we saw them!! Thank you Loryn, you're the BEST!!!

    She absolutely made my family and I feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She is professional, kind, and very down to earth. My family and I loved having her as our photographer, and if we could hire her again, we definitely would. It was a little trip to Kona for my husband’s work, so I decided to Google photographers in the area. Luckily, Loryn was the only one available for the time and date we needed. It was like she was meant to be our photographer. We are very appreciative for Loryn, and we loved how she was very calm, and already had the vision of where to shoot our photos.
